Pressure unit converter
Convert a pressure between kPa, bar, psi, MPa and kgf/cm² in one step.
How it is calculated
All units are converted through kPa: 1 bar = 100 kPa, 1 psi = 6.894757 kPa, 1 MPa = 1000 kPa, 1 kgf/cm² = 98.0665 kPa.
Worked example
100 psi = 689.48 kPa = 6.89 bar = 7.03 kgf/cm².
Steps
- Enter the value.
- Select its unit.
- Read the value in the other four units.
Frequently asked questions
Is psi gauge or absolute?
The converter treats all values as the same kind. For gauge or absolute, add or subtract 101.325 kPa yourself.
Why is kgf/cm² still used?
Older equipment, pressure gauges and some European standards still use it.
How many decimals are kept?
Values below 1 show four decimals; larger values show two.
